In order to gain employment in Pasco County as a teacher, you will need to have a certification statement of eligibility, issued from the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE). Here are the steps you should follow to receive a statement of eligibility:
After receiving your statement of eligibility, you will need to update your application for employment with the District School Board of Pasco County and then you can start applying for instructional positions. This information is also listed on the Employment Opportunities web page under Important Information for all applicants.
Once you are hired, you will be contacted by a Certification Specialist to go over your requirements. At that time, you will be given more detail regarding PDCP (Professional Development Certification Program) and other routes to satisfy the education courses that the DOE will require and that will based on your Statement-of-Eligibility.
