Gallup Student Poll Parent Resources

This year, students in grades 5 through 12 will be invited to participate in the Gallup Student Poll during the survey window of September 23 through October 25. This survey will be taken during school hours and will take approximately 10 minutes for your student to complete.  It is available in both English and Spanish.  This survey is anonymous and voluntary.  That means that Gallup cannot identify your student, and your student’s individual responses will not be shared with anyone.  Students do not have to participate if they do not want to, and they may skip any item they do not wish to answer.  There are no consequences or penalties if your student does not participate.

The Gallup Student Poll covers Engagement: students’ involvement in and enthusiasm for school, Hope: the ideas and energy students have for the future, Belonging:  feeling accepted and included as part of the school and Additional elements: focus on how people learn to understand and manage emotions and establish positive relationships with others.

Once the survey window closes, Gallup will then aggregate and analyze the results.  Each participating school and district will receive a scorecard.
