I was honored to join and address the Florida Association of School Safety Specialists, a dedicated group of professionals working tirelessly to protect students and staff every single day. Their work is truly invaluable—not only in Pasco County but across Florida and beyond.

I was especially proud to highlight the incredible efforts of Pasco County Schools’ School Safety Guard team and the outstanding leadership of Chief Mike Baumaister. Their commitment to ensuring the safety of our students and staff is unmatched. From proactive security measures to building strong relationships within our schools, their dedication makes a tremendous impact every day.

School safety is the foundation of everything we do in education, and I was honored to personally thank these specialists for their unwavering dedication. Their vigilance, expertise, and compassion create the secure learning environments our students need to thrive.

To all school safety professionals—your work does not go unnoticed. Thank you for your commitment to keeping our schools and communities safe! Let’s continue working together to protect and support students, not just here in Pasco County, but around the our wonderful state.
