Gifted Education
Pasco County Schools is proud to offer a variety of gifted services for our K-12 students. These services range from Consult and Inclusion to our Centers for Gifted Studies. Pasco County Schools promotes gifted awareness by supporting gifted identification, educating all stake-holders on the needs of gifted students, providing advocacy for rigorous coursework and resiliency support for the gifted, and seeking opportunities and supports for gifted students and families.
Mathematics (E=MC2)
Pasco County Schools’ Math Progression is designed to build strong mathematical understanding that supports critical thinking, problem‑solving, and long‑term academic success. We partner with families to ensure every student develops a solid foundation in essential math concepts while fostering confidence and a true love of mathematics. The enhanced E=mc² pathway—Excellence = Mathematics × Comprehension²—offers deeper enrichment, collaboration, and rigorous study for students demonstrating proficiency on FAST assessments.
STEAM Education
STEAM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. STEAM promotes a culture of curiosity by immersing students in authentic learning opportunities that develop their creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication skills in preparation for a rapidly changing world. STEAM classrooms have meaningful technology integration as well as collaborative structures that allow for student engagement.
Cambridge
The Cambridge curriculum, developed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), emphasizes five key attributes: confidence, responsibility, reflection, innovation, and engagement. Cambridge gives schools a flexible framework for developing skills and understanding in English, mathematics, science, and Cambridge Global Perspectives that affords the opportunity for enrichment as well as experiences that create global minded citizens.
International Baccalaureate
The Primary Years Program (PYP) is part of the International Baccalaureate Organization. The PYP provides a curriculum framework focusing on transdisciplinary learning by integrating across subject areas and using an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. The PYP nurtures independent learning skills, encouraging every student to take responsibility for their learning, take action in their community, and develop international mindedness.
