JOB GOAL

This employee is responsible for assisting with the efficient operation of the Distribution Center and delivery of materials to schools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of those in this position.
  1. Handling stock.
  2. Receiving deliveries.
  3. Storing materials.
  4. Filling orders.
  5. Handling confidential information and/or high value documents/items including cash.
  6. Distributing orders.
  7. Processing receiving tickets.
  8. Delivering stock to various locations.
  9. Working additional hours upon reasonable request.
  10. Performing other duties as assigned.
  11. Collection and processing of materials to be recycled.
  12. Delivery and pick-up of surplus items and special school requests.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Functional literacy.
  • Adequate stamina to perform sustained manual labor.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

  • Appropriate valid Florida driver's license for vehicle(s) driven.
  • Demonstrated record of safe driving.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Previous delivery experience.
  • Knowledge of local geographic area.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • None

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be established by the District.

Performance of the job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the School Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
