Under direct supervision, responsible for providing specialized customer service and clerical support. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, coordinating event logistics, processing applicable forms and documents, maintaining fingerprint files, and maintaining accurate employee data. Duties may involve one or more human resources functions, including but not limited to, recruitment, staffing, and/or background screening.

  1. Provide quality, first-level customer service support to applicants and employees by responding to general questions related to employment applications, benefits, approved salary schedules, and other personnel related matters; escalate issues to the appropriate person or department.
  2. Respond to phone, email, and live chat inquiries in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
  3. Provide administrative support to the department, including coordinating recruitment event logistics and travel arrangements, ordering supplies, distributing, and routing information to the appropriate recipients; assisting in the preparation and submission of travel/mileage reimbursements; and updating websites.
  4. Receive and process employment verification, student loan forgiveness, and other similar requests.
  5. Collect, maintain, and prepare fingerprinting files for review.
  6. Assist with scheduling of substitutes for assignments and pre-employment training; and accurately set up, maintain, and update substitute personnel records and databases with applicable employee data.
  7. Perform general clerical duties, including answering phones, mail sorting, filing, copying, scanning, indexing, data-entry, and greeting/escorting visitors to their appointments.
  8. Utilize technology systems to look up, verify, or review information.
  9. Provide backup to the department as needed in other areas.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Operating knowledge of computer programs and ability to effectively use technology in daily work, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, manage and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous clerical, data entry experience, and/or customer service experience




  • Associates degree
  • Prior experience in human resources




Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Indoors and Outdoors: The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be established by the District.
