JOB GOAL

Responsible for leading the systems analyst team and coordinating the development and maintenance of enterprise systems. Coordinate the preparation of comprehensive feasibility studies including detailed documentation of procedures and personnel utilization with recommendations identifying specific computer application areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop plans for future development of enterprise systems.
  2. Coordinate and supervise the work of systems analysts.
  3. Study and document present workflow and procedures.
  4. Identify potential computer application areas.
  5. Supervise and assist in all computer operation functions.
  6. Determine system, informational, and personnel requirements.
  7. Write, test, and de-bug complex programs.
  8. Design forms and specifications.
  9. Prepare machine operation instructions.
  10. Analyze existing systems and redefine operations when necessary to take into account changes in system requirements or equipment configurations.
  11. Prepare, coordinate, and supervise systems implementation.
  12. Provide technical assistance and training to user staff and to programming and operations personnel.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Broad knowledge of computer systems, including programming and systems operations
  • Knowledge of the interchanges and interfaces between systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, orally and in writing, including electronic media
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, manage, and carry out duties efficiently and within established timeframes

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • Successful completion of an accredited training program in data processing
  • Data processing experience including computer programming and systems experience
  • OR
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in a technology-related field

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Direct supervision of assigned personnel. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work: addressing complaints and resolving problems; training employees; evaluating performance; and interviewing, testing, hiring, and assignment of personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated as Light Work.

WORKING CONDITIONS

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be established by the District.

Performance of the job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the School Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
