Purpose: The Preparing New Principal Program (PNPP) in Pasco County provides future principal candidates with learning experiences that align with the Florida Principal Leadership Standards as well as Pasco's Vision for Leadership Excellence. Applicants for School Principal Certification will engage in a yearlong preparation program that requires demonstration of excellence in all core leadership competencies.
Requirements: Internal Candidates for this program must:
Currently possess a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and have Educational Leadership on their Florida Educator Certificate.
Have three years of successful experience serving as a school based assistant principal and currently be in this role.

A candidate interested in the Principal eligibility process may not apply if any of the following have occurred:
Formal Level Discipline within the past five years
Violation of Board Policy 3124.01 – Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing Program
A finding by the Office of Professional Practices Services (FLDOE)
