Dr. John Legg Sworn in as Pasco County Superintendent

On November 19, 2024, Dr. John Legg was officially sworn in as Superintendent of Pasco County Schools. With a focus on student success, innovation, and community partnership, the veteran educator is excited to work with staff districtwide to serve the educational needs of Pasco’s families. 

"I am honored to work alongside this incredible group of leaders," said Dr. Legg. "Their experience and dedication to our community will be invaluable as we build a future centered on student success, both in the classroom and in life."

In a key appointment, Dr. Legg has named Betsy Kuhn as Deputy Superintendent. A respected leader with a proven track record in education and district operations, Kuhn brings invaluable expertise to this role. Her leadership will be essential as the district works to elevate academic outcomes and support a collaborative vision for Pasco County Schools.

To guide his administration’s transition, Dr. Legg has established a Community Conversation Group composed of distinguished community leaders, including educators, parents, local business leaders, and education advocates. The group will meet over the coming months, offering perspectives on educational priorities to ensure a high-quality education for all Pasco students. Members of the conversation group include:
