This summer, Pasco County Schools partnered with CareerSource to sponsor the first annual Summer Construction Trades Program. Participants received hands-on experience with general construction work and assisted with current district construction projects at a variety of school sites. At the conclusion of the program, students received OSHA Construction Certification and a set of general construction tools compliments of CareerSource. This real-world experience prepared them to join the ever-growing construction trades industry in Pasco County. Hats off to Wayne Mazza, Electrical teacher at Pasco High School, for sharing his expertise with the students and prepping them to be more competitive in the construction industry as future world-class employees.
