Target Audience

Certified Teachers with Administrative Recommendation  

General Description

Professional Development Certification Program (PDCP) is Pasco County’s alternative certification program.  Assessors are a vital part of the program, providing coaching and feedback to new teachers as they complete the program during their first two years of teaching.   Assessors grade teachers’ work based on the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices and provide feedback on tasks developed through the FLDOE portal.   

Required Prerequisites

  • Clinical Educator Training within the last 5 years, or the refresher course 
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience 
  • Leadership experience (PLC facilitator, Department Head, Coach, etc..) 
  • Experience coaching teachers with instructional practices 
  • Rating of “effective” or higher on evaluations 
  • Administrator recommendation
