Pasco High School
As number four in the class, I attempt to display a scholarly set of actions throughout the school. With a weighted 4.69 GPA, I have taken rigorous Cambridge courses. Science and English are subjects I am passionate about. I am a published poet in a collection of poems across the world and led our school's Science Club. Also, I have already completed the AICE Cambridge Program with Merit in two years rather than three.
As a four-year starting goalkeeper for my school's varsity soccer team, I have been the captain my junior and senior years. I am the first one there, and the last to leave. I am also the Executive Board President of my school's Student Council. I was awarded the West Point Society Leadership Award as well as the tennis team's Coach's Award. In addition to this, I was the vice president and president of Science Club.
With 283 community service hours and counting, I have spent time working in a field I am passionate about to provide better service to people. At the Florida Aquarium, I have over 200 hours as a volunteer working with children as a tour guide and exhibit interpreter. Also, as president of STUCO we have given volunteer opportunities to all ranges of students. Through Interact club, I have learned and practiced service above self.
Last year, I was honored with the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award designated to students who are altruistic in nature. I am an active citizen and have political beliefs while still being respectful to others. Citizenship is important, not only on campus, but around the Dade City area. Even though I am not from Dade City, I try my best to meet new people and learn about their small town traditions to be a positive citizen.
