Scholarship:
Caroline has a 3.0976 unweighted GPA and a 3.4634 weighted GPA. She has always been willing to challenge herself with a variety of courses including honors and AP level courses. She is a leader in her eurythmics class and with the band program. Her teachers report that she works hard in her classes for her grades and is always willing to help others. She does sometimes struggle, but does not give up.
Leadership:
Caroline was born to be a leader. She says that she has "faced a variety of struggles that may not qualify me as someone who is today’s idea of “perfect”. I am your average kid who has a job, is in the marching band, and does well in school. There is more to me than what is written on my report card."
Service:
- Feeding Tampa Bay
- Volunteers at a senior living community to manage events, offer assistance with housework, and socialize with the residents.
- Various jobs with the marching band (holding props, managing concessions, and selling tickets).
Citizenship:
Caroline is the embodiment of citizenship, humble and unassuming. She participates in color guard and works with the younger students to improve their skills. Caroline sees this recognition as a celebration of all the students whose accomplishments go unnoticed. She consistently roots for the underdog. Caroline works to ensure that all peers are treated fairly and with compassion. At Life Skills in ACTion, she encourages the students as their life coach and mentor.
