Wesley Chapel High School
When most students let off the gas senior year, Joshua is accelerating. He is a Capstone Diploma candidate who is currently enrolled in AP Research as well as an additional four AP courses. He is completing his fourth year of language in AP Spanish. In addition, he is taking two Dual Enrollment courses on top of his full school schedule (for fun!). He is truly immersed in his education.
Joshua is a humble leader. He is on the executive council of almost every club he is involved in.
These are elected positions showing he has earned the confidence of his peers. In addition, he is a graduate of Youth Leadership Pasco, one of three students selected last year.
Joshua has over 130 documented service hours. While he has earned a chunk of them participating in Teen Court, the majority come from volunteering on campus. He has been a true angel for many of our staff members--helping to clean classrooms, file, organize, and make their lives a little easier. He also spends countless hours decorating for Homecoming, planning pep rallies, and creating events for students.
Joshua is heavily involved in the culture of WCHS and is a friend to everyone (I cannot stress this enough!). He is one of the most thoughtful humans I know. WCHS is so fortunate to have Joshua set the standard for our students and encourage them to be their best. Teachers were so excited to hear Joshua won (and obviously the majority voted for him)--he is mature, funny, kind, polite, and a great young man!
