Zephyrhills High School
Yaxiel has a cumulative weighted GPA of 3.8514 and has achieved the Scholar Designation on his diploma when he graduates this year. He has challenged himself with rigorous coursework during his high school career that includes all four years of (AVID), Honors level, and Advanced Placement (AP) classes.
Yaxiel is currently the Student Body President and Senior Class President. He stepped up and took on many visible leadership roles last year when other students did not deliver, and this year leads our ZHS Student Council as the “face” of our campus. He is directly responsible for Senior Class activities and fundraising, the Social Media Communications Officer for both ZHS Student Council and ZHS National Honor Society.
He is the Student Council Officer in Charge for ZHS Service-Learning Projects that raised funds and resources for the ZHS ABC program needs. Yaxiel attended our ZHS Site-Based Leadership Team staff and faculty work this summer and provided input on school discipline, attendance, and grade data reviews.
With National Honor Society (NHS) and other school functions, Yaxiel is often the first to show up and one of the last to leave an event. He serves as a student mentor at ZHS and assists with set up, operations of, and clean up for school events as well as student support for new students.
