Wendell Krinn Technical High School
I will complete the AA from PHSC in May and become an awarded AP scholar. Additionally, I have received national titles of National College Match Finalist and the National Recognition Program for First Generation College Students. I continue to foster my passions for learning through competitions like science fair and National History Day, which I went to the regional and state for, respectively. I have taken 4 years of Mandarin and 2 for Spanish.
I have founded and led multiple clubs that give students the opportunity to compete in competitions and gain access to information. The National History Day club sent 4 students to the state competition last year. In the school district, I participate in Student congress, with other students to better our schools at the district level. I co-lead a non- profit (Cinderella Project) that has collected thousands in donations and serves students in two counties.
I received the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award in recognition of my commitment to service. I demonstrate this through my 3-year commitment to the Cinderella and Prince Charming Project, where I began as a client and now have served hundreds of students. Every month, I set up and serve dinner after Filipino church services. I also participated in the New Port Richey Recreational Center’s Youth Advisory Board, organizing and carrying out events for families.
I am an active member of many communities. I was chosen to represent Pasco County Schools in the Florida School Board Association meeting this December to give input on student experience. I will also represent West Pasco at the Florida State Distinguished Young Women Program, which honors citizenship and scholastics, state and national. I am also an active member of my school community, being a Biomedical Sciences CTE ambassador and a good friend.
