In the event of an extraordinary emergency that requires the evacuation of a school campus, Pasco County Schools has created a reunification plan to ensure that students are reunited with their families. Such events, when the evacuation requires moving students off campus to a safe location, are extremely rare. Planning, communication, and clear expectations are essential for a smooth transition to the safe location and an orderly reunification process. Communication between agencies – and with parents – is paramount, and all involved must know their roles and what is expected of them. With that in mind, we have created videos for parents and for students explaining the process.
