I am grateful for the remarkable impact Ms. Newquist has had on my child’s education. Her teaching style has sparked a genuine love for learning. Beyond academics, Ms. Newquist’s genuine care for her students shines through, creating a supportive environment fostering both personal and intellectual growth. My child’s newfound confidence and critical thinking skills, nurtured by Ms. Newquist are invaluable assets that extend well beyond the classroom. I am very fortunate to have such an inspirational teacher guiding my child’s educational journey.
Submitted by Ornella McDonaldI have a senior that has special needs. He has always struggled in the school setting. We were worried that he wasn’t learning and was getting too overwhelmed. This year we decided to put him in virtual school we join the pascoeschool and it really is amazing. The teacher, Miss Darcy has to be one of the best teachers that we have experienced in our long 12 years in Pasco County. Miss Darcy is able to engage all of the children while doing the virtual class she is able to go over all the different levels that the children are on. I think this helps all of the children because they see different ways to learn it. I am very pleased with the education my son is receiving, and I am extremely impressed with the teaching skills that Miss Darcy presents for these children. I wish I would’ve known about this program earlier , but I am grateful that at least we got one year with Miss Darcy.
Submitted by Danielle ManglisI would like to shout out Carol Daniels, our exceptional Instructional Assistant at Cypress Elementary School. Having joined our school team last year, Carol approached her role with a hint of uncertainty, unsure of what to expect. However, she has not only exceeded expectations but has truly shone in her position. Despite this being her first experience working with children beyond personal connections, Carol's natural affinity for the role has become evident.
Ms. Daniels has quickly become a beloved figure among the students. Her kindness, care, and empathetic nature have left a deep-rooted mark. Carol finds genuine joy in working with our students and is dedicated to their success. Her daily check-ins and unwavering encouragement serve as a constant source of motivation for our young learners. Beyond her interactions with students, Carol embodies the qualities of a supportive team player and we feel incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our team. Thank you, Carol, for the love and positivity you bring to Cypress Elementary School.
My daughter was concerned about leaving her preschool and starting kindergarten at a large place like Sanders. She was apprehensive at Meet the Teacher, but Mrs. Black (M.) was warm and welcoming. Mrs. Black recognized my daughter's strengths and encouraged them to grow, shining through at home as well. School projects show me that she is being allowed to learn through ways that inspire her, making a spark in both knowledge and excitement to learn more. It takes a talented teacher to recognize that and foster it in so many little individuals all at the same time.
Submitted by Amy AlstonOur amazing Art teacher here at Trinity Elementary (Mary Hensel) started a project and created these "FAB" Free Art Boxes in communities for students to have access to art supplies/projects. Two have been placed so far. One at South Holiday Library and one at New River Library. Excited that students have this resource available to them. Access to the arts is extremely important and often overlooked and this teacher puts that at the forefront!
Submitted by Virginia McKennaMrs. Jeanne Krapfl, our exceptional School Principal. When you picture the ideal school principal, Mrs. Krapfl is the embodiment of it all. Her unwavering determination for success resonates throughout the school culture, creating an environment that is both nurturing and supportive. Mrs. Krapfl isn't just about rhetoric; she genuinely cares and actively invests in the success of every member of our school community.
What sets Mrs. Krapfl apart is that she doesn't just talk the talk; she walks the walk. Her commitment to success is not merely spoken but demonstrated through her actions. Whether it's modeling the way or providing the necessary resources for success, Mrs. Krapfl is hands-on and ensures that everyone has what they need to thrive. As a teacher with a constant eye on personal and professional growth, I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have Principal Krapfl in my corner. Her support is not just a formality; it's a genuine partnership that empowers educators to reach new heights.
Let me tell you about the incredible Mrs. Amy Kae, our rockstar Guidance Counselor at Cypress Elementary School. This lady is like a burst of sunshine in our school—positive vibes all day, every day. Mrs. Kae isn't just your average problem-solver; she's like a magician turning any issue into an opportunity. Her dedication to the well-being of our staff and students is nothing short of heartwarming, and you can genuinely feel her caring nature.
I've been working with kids for ages, but Mrs. Kae takes the cake. She's not just a counselor; she's a superhero. Always ready with a joke, a smile, and a helping hand, she's the glue that holds our school spirit together. Mrs. Kae doesn't just stick to her counseling duties; she dives into classrooms, teams up with teachers, and sparks up fun projects all over the school while still managing to be there for our students every single day.
But here's the kicker—Mrs. Kae doesn't limit her counseling wisdom to scheduled sessions. Nope, she's like a sprinkle of joy throughout the day, lifting up students and staff alike. In a world where it's easy to get bogged down, Mrs. Kae is our reminder that there's a ton of good stuff happening. I could go on and on about how amazing Mrs. Kae is, but all I can say is we're beyond grateful to have her in our corner. She's not just a counselor; she's our daily dose of inspiration.
Last year was my son's first year in middle school and it was quite overwhelming for him. He had a tough time fitting in and he struggled with the transition from elementary to middle. Alysha McCowan his ELA teacher, was truly a hero to him (and us). She made him feel special and showed him how much she believed in him every single day in her classroom. Ms. McCowan gave him a safe and happy learning environment all while building up his self esteem, and love of learning in Reading and Writing. She is an incredibly, special teacher and we are so thankful our son Ryan had the opportunity to have her as his ELA teacher last year. I truly believe her love of teaching and heart for her students is why he's succeeding so much in 7th grade this year. Thank you Ms. McCowan for all you do for your students and especially for ALL you did for our son last year, he still talks about the difference you made in his life!!!
