Summer VPK 2027
The Summer VPK program provides 300 hours of instruction to age-eligible Pasco County children who did not participate in the 540-hour 25-26 school year VPK or Head Start program and who will be going into Kindergarten in the Fall of 2027. Summer VPK Certificates are available now- see Step 1 below to apply for yours now.

How to apply for 2027 Summer VPK
Step 1: Create a family portal and apply for the Summer VPK Certificate of Eligibility (COE) at the Department of Early Learning Family Portal
Step 2: Download the PDF of your COE from your family portal at the Department of Early Learning Family Portal (Please allow sufficient processing time.)

The Summer VPK program provides 300 hours of instruction to age-eligible Pasco County children who did not participate in the 540-hour 26-27 school year VPK or Head Start program and who will be going into Kindergarten in the Fall of 2027.
To be eligible for VPK, children must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year. Children who did not participate in the 540-hour 26-27 school year VPK or Head Start program and who will be going into Kindergarten in the Fall of 2027.
Since this is a voluntary program, transportation is not provided by the district. Children attending Summer VPK must be dropped off and picked up by car.
Classes are not to exceed 12 students with a single lead instructor. Instructors must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
