Health and Wellness Collaboratives
Full-Service Community Sites

Full-Service Community School (FSCS) is a public school that collaborates with community-based organizations and public and private partnerships to provide a wide range of services to students, their families, and the community. These services often include educational support, health and social services, youth development, and family engagement activities.

The goal of FSCSs is to address the comprehensive needs of students and their families, thereby improving educational outcomes and strengthening the community. These schools often serve as community hubs, offering services such as:

  • Integrated Student Supports: Health, mental health, and social services.
  • Expanded Learning Time: After-school programs and summer learning opportunities.
  • Family and Community Engagement: Activities that promote active participation from families and community members.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Partnerships between educators, families, and community organizations.

By addressing both academic and non-academic needs, FSCSs aim to create a supportive environment that fosters student success and community well-being.
