Insurance/Medicaid

Premier services will be provided only with parent/guardian consent. If your student has private medical insurance or Medicaid, Premier will bill the insurance for services provided in the telemedicine visit. If your student does not have insurance, Premier has a team available to help. Premier’s staff can assist you in applying for Medicaid, exchange plans (health insurance marketplace plans) and/or a sliding fee program with rates based on your household income offered by Premier. For additional information, please contact Premier's billing department at (352) 518-2000 and choose option 4 when prompted.

With telemedicine, your child can see a doctor through technology, almost like the doctor is right there in the room! The school nurse will use special tools to help the doctor figure out what's wrong, suggest treatments, and even send a prescription to your chosen pharmacy, all while your child stays at school. Parents or guardians can join the visit in person, via video call, or allow it to happen without them. All health records from these telemedicine visits are kept by Premier, and Pasco County Schools won't have access to them.
