Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Pasco County Schools. Volunteers are a vital part of building relationships between schools, parents, community members, and business partners, while adding value to the educational experience of Pasco County students. Anyone wishing to volunteer at a Pasco County school must complete a volunteer application. Florida law requires all school volunteers to undergo a new background check each year.

Volunteer applicants who are 18 years or older and no longer in school are subject to a background check against the national sexual predator/offender registry and must pass a criminal background screening. A volunteer must be approved before volunteering. Once you have received your approval email, you may contact your local school to find out what volunteer opportunities are available. If you are unsure which schools are close to where you live, use our search resources.

Volunteer opportunities vary by school, but may include the following:

• Assisting in the classroom, cafeteria, or office
• Assisting with athletic events, book fairs, or school festivals
• Chaperoning a fieldtrip
• Mentoring/tutoring
• Serving as a hurricane shelter worker
• Being a member of the PTA/PTO or School Advisory Committee

For best results, please submit your application on a computer. The application format may not be compatible with your mobile device, and some fields may appear out of order. Peer volunteers should print the Peer Volunteer Application, complete it, and submit it to the school’s volunteer coordinator.

FRS Retirees - If you are a retiree from the Florida Retirement System and have been retired less than one year, you must call FRS to confirm your eligibility to volunteer. Call (844) 377-1888, ask for the Enrollment Department.  Once you confirm that you are eligible to volunteer, you can complete the volunteer application below.
