Students who are under the age of 18 must meet the age waiver criteria below to take the GED® exam:

 

1. The student must not be enrolled in secondary education. 

2. Effective November 1, 2024, the parent or legal guardian of the underaged individual must submit a signed and notarized Underaged Testing Form and proof of withdrawal from high school to the Florida GED® Testing Office via email at GEDagewaiver@FLDOE.org or by fax at (850) 245-0990.
