Students with Respiratory Conditions (i.e. asthma)

Students with respiratory conditions can be supported at school using a prescribed inhaler or nebulizer, as ordered by their medical provider and outlined in the student’s health plan. Inhalers and nebulizer treatments are administered according to the provider’s instructions to help manage symptoms and prevent respiratory distress. Students may self-carry and self-administer a rescue inhaler when both the parent/guardian and medical provider approve in writing. Required forms are available in the boxes below or in the Forms tab.
